Spain was supposed to be the perfect location for our season kick off. As we arrived in our Hotel close to the city of Seville, half of the facade already got blown away by heavy winds and rainfalls…. it shouldn’t change much during the next days/weeks! Decision was made to leave Seville and check out the country of Spain for another Dropzone called Castellon. After driving for 800 km (through mostly heavy rain again) we arrived at a beautiful DZ right next to the beach and hell yeah, sun was shining. First full day of skydiving is in the books and what could potentially go wrong if the weather is good? The plane breaks down and again we’re forced to stay on the ground but at least with sunshine, good food, wine and some other skydivers from Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Two days later the plane was fixed again and we had another great day of jumping overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Valencia at the horizon.

We’re heading back to Seville for our last week of training. Surprise, surprise it’s raining! But weather gods still must have some sympathies for us cause the weather changed for our last days there. The last five days brought us 15 jumps, Marco’s birthday party and one lost main canopy (which was returned by a farmer three weeks later). It could have been a better trip to Spain but it is what it is.
